Here's what I just put up on my website on the About Me page. I think I've finally figured out my dollplay situation. I can play with them two ways!
A little about my dollplay and collecting: First of all, I am a "play with it doll collector" meaning I don't like to see my dolls diplayed for a long time-short displays, like for Christmas I'll maybe display them but mostly I love to actually play with my dolls whether it's just changing their clothes and styling their hair or actually making them do different things. They live in a small doll town called Star Valley where they live with some of my stuffed animals. They do lots of stuff such as homework (they really do it) and having sleepovers and doing their chores and playing with their own toys, etc. I started getting into playing with them this past summer (2006) and so I'm not sure how long the town will stay (I hope it's a long time though).
I also play with my dolls in another way in that they are sometimes adopted sisters (and soon-to-be brother) (when I'm playing them in the town, they're not related unless I make them related as in Felicity and Megan being cousins or Kirsten and her little brother Peter).</font> They'll hang out with me and still hang out with each other but use "big people stuff (ie. computer, open the refrigerator, go for rides with me, etc). It's kind of hard to explain this type of playing but that's the best way I know how is that they hang out with me. Sometimes I read them stories.
Now, you may think they get confused between the "town" play and "non-town" play but they don't I tried just having them as sisters and I didn't really like that so then I tried to just have the town and not have them be related-that didn't work either. So, I just figured I could combine the two in a way. Most times they hang out with me but at least once every few days, I play with them in Star Valley where they also hold festivals and do a lot of stuff. And if all the above was confusing then...they're my dolls and I play with them how I want to
(playing with them two ways also helps as I haven't made any houses/rooms for them yet).

I usually play with them while making alblums oh also by re-organizing their room, because they always end up doing somehting when we clean. Also, I imagine how they get new outfits and things

I do like re-organizing their rooms like you said but, sometimes I sit down and think what would I like to do today? So far the girls have done many things. Camping, Horseback riding, dog and cat shows, been to the mall, acted out plays, too many thing to list!!! I don't like displaying my dolls either. They're too much fun to play with! My girls live in a town too! Pleasantville!!

My dolls all go to a boarding school together, except this summer Lissie and Piper graduated, so they are at "college" (the other side of the basement) and my sister's doll Nellie goes to another school (she got in a big fight with Piper and couldn't stand to go to school with her!
